Shah Residence – Bopal, A’Bad

Set on a corner plot of about 200 square yards in Bopal, Ahmedabad, this residence uses contrast as its main idea. Large format cream stone panels form the calm base of the elevation, set against a bold charcoal stacked stone volume that anchors the corner and gives the home its strong identity. Cantilevered sun shades with recessed lights, glass railed balconies edged with greenery, and a rooftop spiral stair to the terrace layer the facade with depth and movement. A textured metal and timber gate completes the street edge and hints at the material play carried inside.

The project runs architecture and interiors together, so the same honest palette of stone, wood and glass continues from the outside in. The result is a compact urban home that feels bold on the street yet warm and liveable within.
